A world of languages

There are at least 7102 languages known in the world today, if we also count dialects.

Of these 7102 languages, 23 are mother tongues for more than 4.1 billion people. These are therefore the most represented in the world.

Below is a diagram showing each of these 23 languages, represented respectively with their number of native speakers, in millions. The colours represent the regions of the world in which these languages are spoken.

At the bottom of the document you will find the number of countries in which each language is spoken. You will also learn which languages are the most commonly learned. And finally the number of different languages spoken in each country.

Since a good diagram is better than a long speech, I now let you discover it at your ease!
